Metatarsalgia is often associated with other foot conditions, including Morton’s neuroma, metatarsophalangeal synovitis, avascular necrosis, sesamoiditis, and inflammatory arthritis. While anyone can develop this condition, athletes who enjoy running or other high impact sports may be more susceptible.
